Current projects for funding and where the money goes

We have three new doctors who are keen to join SWIFT Medics.

Some of our current members are using out dated equipment at least two new defibrillators are required. Estimated cost £2800

Initial emergency response (Blue light) driver training update is required for at least one new doctor. £2100

Refresher blue-light training required this year for 5 doctors. Cost £700 per doctor.

Miscellaneous small items of medical equipment and emergency care drugs. Approximate cost £1000

Defibrillators: Some of our current members are using out dated equipment at least two new debrillators are required. Cost £2800 for 2 units

Patient monitors: To enable pre-hospital anaesthesia to be performed to the latest guidelines SWFIT Medics need to purchase 4 new patient monitors. Philips MP5 (see left) we need to find £4000 for each of these. It will transform the level of care we can provide

Medical bags: Renew 5 aged medical equipment bags. Total cost all 5 bags £1250

SWIFT Medics Education Projects: We are looking to build lasting relationships with the RAF & RAMC with RAF and Army doctors posted to bases in Wiltshire. Mutual training will be required

Blue-light driver training:Refresher blue-light training required this year for 5 doctors. Costs £700 per doctor

Further specialised medical training

With Great North Air Ambulance in Darlington for Drs Valentine, Dunn, Brownhill & Glover. Costs 4 x £400 = £1600

En route back from Lambourn call, SWIFT Medic assisted ambulance crew with a medical patient.  They were cannulated and given drugs to alleviate their symptoms.
